Popular mountain film festival kicks off at North Van's Centennial Theatre tomorrow
The 2012 Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival opens tomorrow (Feb. 10) at North Vancouver's Centennial Theatre.
The annual festival is a platform for mountain-inspired films and feature various guest speakers.
Films scheduled for opening night are: The Denial Experiment (about climbing, skiing and snowboarding Denali), Moonflower ( two friends create a new line climbing Alaska's Mount Hunter) and Linea Continua (the story of an Italian family's life in the mountains).
Tickets can be purchased at vimff.org or at the Centennial theatre, located at 2300 Lonsdale Ave. Advanced tickets are $18. Packages of two, three and five tickets are also available.
The Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival is scheduled to run from Feb. 10 - 18.
