North Van firemen grow 'staches for Movember
Whether you choose the Fu Manchu, the Super Mario, the Zorro or a simple handlebar, it's time to grow out that 'stache to support Movember, a month-long campaign to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer and male mental health initiatives.
For the month of November, some North Vancouver District firemen are growing their own 'staches to help "change the face of men's health." They started the month with clean-shaven faces and won't be able to get rid of their mo's until Dec. 1.
"So far we've raised $300 and counting," says the team's captain Chris Van Duynhoven.
They will be playing in Port Coquitlam fire department's second annual Movember Hockey Tournament later this month. To donate visit the team's website.
Last year, nearly 900,000 people registered for Movember, raising $125 million.
