Horseshoe Bay used to be merely a stopping point for traffic waiting to catch the ferry.
There was a coffee shop, a newsstand and maybe a place to grab a sandwich but that was about it. It certainly wasn't a destination for locals and certainly not tourists. But over the years this seaside community has grown.
"Horseshoe Bay used to be so nondescript that even West Vancouver residents didn't know it was a part of their city. But, we've done lots of hard work and I think this year is going to be our year to shine," said Erin Sam owner of the local Spirit Gallery.
