Mounties make Lonsdale drug bust
North Vancouver Mounties have arrested two men for allegedly selling crack cocaine in a problem area of Lower Lonsdale.
North Van RCMP spokesman Cpl. Richard De Jong said in a release Thursday that the two arrests were the culmination of a lengthy investigation by the force's drug section.
As part of the investigation, a search was done at a North Van residence which yielded more than 15 grams of crack cocaine, more than 5 grams of powder cocaine and more than $4,200 in cash.
Police are recommending eight drug-related charges against the two men and say that more charges are pending.
Dimitrios Xylinas, 68, of North Vancouver is facing one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking and Vladimir Vratislav, 43, of North Vancouver will answer to seven counts of trafficking in a controlled substance.
