West Van female, 18, due in court after alleged assault and forcible confinement
West Vancouver police are recommending charges of assault and forcible confinement against an 18-year-old West Van female after she was arrested by police on Wednesday.
At about 10 a.m. on Feb. 15., WVPD officers were called to a home on the Capilano Reserve in West Van, where they found an 18-year-old North Vancouver girl allegedly assaulted and restrained by a female suspect known to her.
In a phone interview with The Outlook, Staff Sgt. Jeff Young, a spokesman for WVPD, said little details could be disclosed as an investigation of the incident is ongoing.
Young did say the victim at some point on Wednesday morning had an opportunity to leave and call police to the home.
The suspect was arrested and released by the WVPD and is scheduled to be in North Vancouver Provincial Court on March 14.
More to come.
