Men's downhill training cancelled

Foggy conditions forced the cancellation of today's men's downhill training run at Whistler. Weather permitting, the medal event is scheduled for Saturday, starting at 11:45 a.m.

North Vancouver's Robbie Dixon placed second during Thursday's training session.

“Training runs are training runs. Everyone is trying different things looking for that right line. Sometimes it works for some guys, sometimes it doesn’t. It all comes down on race day, that’s the day that counts,” said Dixon in a statement.

Osborne-Paradis of North Van finished 21st during the training session that was shortened due to bad weather.
